What we offer
Iqra Quran Center provides live, private Quran lessons over Zoom or Google Meet. Our course options cover Arabic letter recognition through Noorani Qaida, connected Quran reading, Tajweed practice, Hifz and everyday Islamic Studies. Children, adults and sisters can request a course suited to their present ability. We also discuss educational accommodations with families seeking a more accessible lesson format.
Families in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia can request lessons in their local time zone. Classes are delivered online; the country pages help explain scheduling and tuition arrangements. Confirm your preferred days and the assigned teacher’s availability before enrolling.
How we choose a starting point
A course name alone cannot tell us where a learner should begin. A child may know short Surahs by heart but still need help reading Arabic letters. An adult who reads independently may need correction of particular sounds rather than a complete beginner course. The free trial allows the tutor to hear the learner and discuss an appropriate first target.
Compare the course catalogue and entry levels, then share your goal when booking. Explain which book or Mus’haf you already use, whether you prefer a female teacher and which teaching language you need. If your first teacher is not a comfortable match, contact admissions to discuss the available alternatives.
What families should evaluate in a lesson
Clear, patient feedback
Listen for an explanation the learner understands, time to attempt a word independently and a manageable practice task. Ask the tutor to distinguish pronunciation errors from difficulty recognising a written sign. A useful lesson helps the learner know what to practise next.
Visible learning progress
Ask how corrections and revision bookmarks will be shared. Progress can mean recognising a new letter pattern, reading with fewer prompts or retaining an earlier memorised section. The appropriate measure depends on the course; speed and completed page counts do not tell the whole story.
Teacher selection and parent participation
Use the trial to meet the assigned teacher, ask about their relevant training and hear how they explain a correction. Parents are welcome to observe a child’s lesson. Review the child safeguarding policy and confirm how classroom links and administrative messages will be shared. Tell admissions about a concern rather than continuing a format that makes your child uncomfortable.
Tuition, trial and enrolment
New students can request one free trial class without a credit card. Before starting paid lessons, confirm the monthly amount, billing currency, class duration and number of classes included. The name of a plan does not replace a clear agreement about the allocation for each learner, especially when siblings enrol.
